Boston College entered Saturday’s home matchup with No. 9 UNC with a 9-10 record, and while UNC would go on to win 90-82, the Eagles went toe to toe for most of the matchup against their ACC rivals.
Freshman guard Ky Bowman, who had a total of 10 points in his previous two games, put up 21 points in the first half to pull the Eagles to within one of UNC. He finished with 33 points on 7-9 shooting from beyond the arc.
But Bowman wasn’t the only one providing the spark. Jerome Robinson had 18 on the night, two of which came off of this strong play:
Then, as if one monster dunk wasn’t enough, Mo Jeffers caught an inbound pass and soared for another slam:
The dunks gave Boston College plenty of momentum, but it wasn’t enough down the stretch, and the Eagles dropped to 2-5 in ACC play this year.
