UNC ball boy hits 3 straight halfcourt shots

North Carolina tips off against Boston College at noon today, and while it will be the first game that star freshman Tony Bradley will be back since his concussion against Wake Forest, Roy Williams might want to think about adding one more name to the roster: Asher Lucas.

Lucas, the son of longtime GoHeels.com columnist Adam Lucas, is a ball boy for the Tar Heels. And on Jan. 8, at halftime of UNC's 107-56 beatdown of NC State, the 11-year-old entertained the halftime crowd by draining three half-court shots in a row.

Only a few fans seemed to notice the first half-court heave go in, but by the time Lucas knocked down the third, the crowd at the Dean Dome was uncontrollable. Lucas might not be eligible for a few more years, but next time the Tar Heels need a last-second shot, don't be surprised if you see the ball boy on the court.
