The clock read 2.7 seconds as senior guard Josh Hart, who before the game was averaging 19 points per game but had just 12 on the day, bounded towards the basket to toss one up, but it bounced down before the redshirt freshman guard DiVincenzo tapped it in.

DiVincenzo has been averaging 7.4 points per game and scored three during the game against Virginia, with the buzzer-beater being his only field-goal attempt.
The last-second tip-in delivered a 61-59 Villanova victory and may keep the team from falling too far in the rankings after Tuesday's loss at Marquette.
