Maye hits a shot to send UNC to the Final Four then hits class

Talk about dedication.

After nailing a game-winning, college-career-defining shot against Kentucky (which secured UNC a spot in the Final Four), North Carolina sophomore forward Luke Maye’s name hit Twitter again when he showed us all what the definition of a student-athlete is.

After traveling back from the Tar Heels’ Elite Eight game in Memphis on Sunday, Maye showed up to his Monday morning 8 a.m. business class, where he (of course) received a standing ovation from his classmates for his late-game heroics.

I guess he wanted to make sure he doesn’t fall behind, especially if he might be missing next Monday’s class to play in the title game.
