Creighton re-entered this week's AP Top 25 with a bang; literally and figuratively. Junior guard Khyri Thomas played a big part in that.
Leading Big East foe Butler 49-32 at half, the Blue Jays shot over 50 percent from the floor (19-for-36) and assisted on 14 of their 19 baskets.
But the loudest play of the opening frame came when Thomas went up for a dunk after coming down the lane with 6:39 remaining. Bulldogs freshman guard Aaron Thompson was on the receiving end of the nasty posterization.
