There are some out-of-bounds plays that work off of design and deception and there are others that succeed because someone made a spectacular play. This particular example, from Maryland's 61-51 win over Rutgers Saturday, had both.
Inbounding underneath its own basket, Maryland drew up the perfect alley-oop play that freed up forward Bruno Fernando above the rim to receive a perfect pass from Darryl Morsell.
Fernando added some emphasis on the finish for a dunk that will be watched over and over again.
