You, the fans, have voted the Kentucky Wildcats as the College Basketball Team of the Decade champions. A total of 43,192 people voted in the final poll on Twitter, crowning No. 1 Kentucky — with a starting five of John Wall, Devin Booker, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Anthony Davis and Karl-Anthony Towns — over No. 7 Purdue with 61 percent of the vote. Like any NCAA tournament, there have been upsets and matchups that come down to the wire across social media. After the Elite Eight, Michigan State, Kentucky, Purdue and UConn advanced to the Final Four. Final Four voting concluded with Kentucky knocking off Michigan State and Purdue edging UConn for the remaining spot in the Team of the Decade national championship. Like the Final Four polls, voting for the national championship was extended to three days, an additional 24 hours from the first four rounds of competition.
