Clinton, NY – The Williams College Ephs enter the winter break on a high note defeating the Hamilton Continentals 67-48, and extend their unbeaten streak to 8-0. Williams was ranked 9th in Division III for the second week in a row and was able to defend that ranking with a big win over Hamilton. The Continentals lose their second straight game falling to 5-2.

The Ephs had three players in double digits. Chessie Jackson hit four 3's on her way to a 22 point and 6 rebound performance. Jill Greenberg also had an outstanding game contributing a double-double with 16 points and 10 assists. Taylor Shea rounded out the top three scorers with 10 points and 7 rebounds.

Hamilton College was lead by Dani Feigin and Eliza Howe who both had 10 points, and Madie Harlem was one point and one rebound shy of a double-double.

Williams jumped out to a 14-2 lead in the opening four minutes and never trailed. Hamilton pulled within seven points at 19-12 midway through the first half, but didn't get any closer after that. The Ephs led 34-19 at the half, and maintained their double-digit advantage throughout the second half.

Both teams shot poorly Williams shooting 38% from the field and Hamilton shooting 37%. The difference was Williams was able to get second chance shots by winning the offensive boards battle. Williams was able to get 14 offensive rebounds compared to Hamilton's 6.

Williams plays Drew University in the first round of a holiday tournament at Wesley College on Tuesday, Dec. 28. The Continentals are off until Jan. 10, when they travel to William Smith College for their Liberty League opener.
