A pair of sophomores came up huge for Northeastern State on Thursday night in a thrilling 82-77 win against Midwestern State in Lone Star Conference play. The No. 7-ranked RiverHawks needed two overtimes to collect their 10th win of the year against only one loss. MSU fell to 4-7.

•Taylor Lewis buried a 3-point basket with 1.1 seconds left in regulation to force OT
•Tosha Tyler went coast-to-coast with 5.2 seconds remaining in the first OT and made a layup to force the second extra period
•The RiverHawks then outscored the Mustangs 18-13 in the final stanza to collect the win
•Northeastern State had four players score in double-figures
•Lewis had 19, Jasmine Webb had 18, Tyler had 17 and Jasmine Wright had 10
•MSU held a 40-to-33 advantage on the boards, including 15 offensive rebounds
•Katiya Jackson led all scorers with 23 and Nolisha Markham chipped in 22
•NSU led 33-28 at halftime
•Score was tied at 57-57 at the end of regulation and 64-64 after one OT period
•Jackson's traditional 3-point play with 7 seconds left put the Mustangs in front 57-54 setting the stage for Lewis' heroics
•MSU led by five, 64-59, with :50 left in the first OT, but Wright's trey made it a one possession game with 38.6 seconds left
•Midwestern State was called for a shot-clock violation with 5.2 left, which provided Tyler's game-tying layup just seconds later
•NSU opened the second OT with six straight points and led by as many as eight twice
