Louisville dupes Duke into covering wrong basket, scores on easy layup

Duke won the game, but it was Louisville that produced the most highlight-worthy moment of Monday night’s clash between two ranked squads.

What a play design from Cardinals head coach Jeff Walz. Out of a timeout, Louisville players lined up on the opposite end of the floor – at Duke’s basket – instead of their own. The Blue Devils followed them, unaware that this was an elaborate setup from the Cardinals; Louisville got an easy layup out of it. Watch below:

You don’t see stuff like this very often. Congratulations to Duke on the win, but bravo for Walz and the Cardinals for trying something unconventional and having it pay off.
