Michael Fine starts role as NCAA secretary-rules editor for bowling
Michael Fine began his four-year term as the NCAA secretary-rules editor for bowling on Tuesday.
Since 2005, Fine has coached the men’s and women’s club bowling teams at Florida State University, where he is also the director of Crenshaw Lanes on the school’s campus.
Additionally, Fine is the student program coordinator for the 12,000-square-foot facility.
Fine is the past president of the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association and the 2002 Men’s Intercollegiate Bowling Coach of the Year. Before going to Florida State, Fine worked at the University of Kansas Memorial Union from 1984-2005 as assistant manager and as a recreational manager in the programs department. He also was the club bowling coach at Kansas.
Fine’s men’s team at Kansas advanced to the Intercollegiate Bowling Championships in five of his last six years and captured the 2004 championship.
Fine succeeds Ron Holmes as the NCAA secretary-rules editor for bowling.
