Key Notes: Emmorey, coming off a 2010 All-American campaign, kicked off his season for the No. 3 Lakers at the Spartan Invitational on Sept. 16. The senior helped lead the charge for Grand Valley State as the Lakers placed four runners among the top 15 finishers, including Emmorey finishing in fourth place with a time of 24:34 in the 8K race that featured multiple Division I teams.

• Division II: No. 1 Adams State takes a step up in competition Saturday as the Grizzlies travel to Stillwater, Okla. for the Cowboy Jamboree, where Division I's top-ranked Oklahoma State headlines the field.

• Division III: No. 1 North Central (Ill.), No. 2 Haverford, No. 3 Calvin, and No. 4 Washington-St. Louis all take to the course this weekend to run at meets hosted by Division I teams.
