Southern Indiana Athletics | September 21, 2013 Newton paces way for Southern Indiana Share BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Southern Indiana freshman Alex Newton finished 29th out of 123 runners to pace a small group of Screaming Eagles in the open competition of the Indiana Intercollegiate Friday afternoon. Newton completed the 8-kilometer course in 27 minutes, 53.40 seconds and was second amongst non-Division I attached competitors.
