No. 2 Northern Arizona shows up solid

Trouard

TUCSON, Ariz. - Northern Arizona competed at the Dave Murray Invitational hosted by Arizona. The Lumberjack men finished second and the women finished third.

"The men did well just holding back a little bit and conserving for the Cowboy Jamboree," assistant coach Leah Rosenfeld said.

The NAU men were led by freshman Andy Trouard who finished fourth and junior Cody Reed who finished fifth. The pair paced themselves throughout as they prepare for the Cowboy Jamboree next week at Oklahoma State. However for Andy Trouard it was a bit of a homecoming after graduating from Salpointe Catholic.

"This is my hometown," said Trouard. "Its always fun to have friends and family cheering."

Also running for the Lumberjack men were Matt League who finished tenth, Dillon Read who finished 11th, and Ryan Wesson who finished 17th.
