Columbia second at Metro

BRONX, N.Y. -- Newly eighth-ranked Columbia, is the only Division I team competing this week. 

Columbia ran in the Metropolitan Championships. 

Without its top 15 runners, Columbia grabbed a runner-up finish tallying 66 team points in the race. Sophomore Marc Violone led the tight Columbia group in the men’s 8k race with an 11th-place time of 26:35.49. Shane Gianetti took 12th in 26:38.57, followed by Robert Napolitano (13th, 26:41.41) and Ben Eversole (14th, 26:42.46) for a solid day uptown.
