Neely Spence

Key Notes: Spence won the 2010 national championship and helped lead Shippensburg to a fourth place team finish.  She won all of her 2010 races and garnered the DII Women's Cross-Country Athlete of the Year honor.  Spence has won the regional and PSAC conference championships all three of her previous seasons.  At the 2010 Greater Louisville Classic, she set a course 5k record of 16:32.90.

• Division I: No. 1 Georgetown opens its season Friday at the Harry Groves Invitational.  The Hoyas return three All-Americans including Emily Infield, runner-up at the 2010 national championship.

• Division II: All top five Division II teams are in action this weekend.  No. 1 Western State and No. 4 Adams State will race each other at the Joe Vigil Invitational.

• Division III: No. 1 Middlebury begins its title defense at the Dartmouth Invitational.  The Panthers did not have any runners place in the top 30 at the 2010 national championship
