American International

Key Notes: Cherutich won her second consecutive Northeast-10 Championship on Oct. 23. She has been American International's top finisher at every 2011 event including a victory at the Blue Jay Invitational. She began her career with the Yellow Jackets in 2010 finishing 41st at the national championships. On Saturday Cherutich will look to earn a repeat championship. This time it will be the East Regional.

• The featured meet of the weekend is the Central Regional in Denver on Saturday. This meet will have the most ranked teams participating (seven). Some of the top competition includes defending champion No. 2 Adams State, No. 1 Western State, No. 4 Colorado Mines and No. 7 Augustana (S.D.).

• Neely Spence and her father, head coach of No. 9 Shippensburg, Steve Spence, will look to repeat as Atlantic Regional champions in Slippery Rock, Pa., on Saturday. They will compete for the second consecutive meet against No. 10 Edinboro.
