East Central sweeps Tiger Chase; Southern Arkansas second, third
ADA, Okla. – Southern Arkansas participated at the East Central Tiger Chase, with the men finishing second and the women third. Host East Central claimed both the men’s and women’s titles.
Mickey Hammer placed second individually in leading the men’s contingent, posting a time of 26:50.0 on the 8K course.
Trevaill Chacon placed sixth in 27:22.9, Gabriel Zambrano was 11th in 27:51.5, Alex Hutto was 16th with a time of 28:39.1. Tyler Eddings,Daniel Pevril and Kirby Shepherd placed 20th through 22nd, respectively.
East Central won the men’s division with 23 points, the Muleriders had 48, Arkansas-Fort Smith was third with 57, and Northwestern Oklahoma State placed fourth with 119.
East Central’s Cale Eidson edged out Hammer in a time of 26:04.1 to win the individual honor.
Kelsey Grier led the Lady Muleriders with a third-place finish, crossing in 20:06.8.
Virginia Ney was sixth in 20:18.8, Lakresha James and Sara Mercado were 22nd and 23rd, respectively. Michelle Beavers finished 29th; and Ashley Price and Darian Kinsey rounded out the scoring at 31st and 37th.
Seven teams competed in the women’s division with East Central recording 28 points, Southwestern Oklahoma State had 65, and SAU posted 75.
ReGina Germaine of East Central won with a time of 19:52.1.
