Maggey Bloskey (Danville/Danville) scored 38 seconds into the second half to break a 1-1 halftime tie and lift the Bloomsburg University field hockey team to a 3-1 win over Indiana, Pa. (IUP) on Saturday at Bloomsburg.

Bloomsburg started the second half with the ball and quickly moved the ball down into the scoring circle. Bloskey then took a pass from Amanda Deloy (Milton, DE/Cape Henlopen) and beat IUP goalkeeper Renee Lustenhouwer to give the Huskies a 2-1 lead. The Huskies would ice the game with a goal in the 61st minute when Chelsea Due (Pen Argyl/Pen Argyl) scored off an Erin Hench (Loysville/West Perry) assist on a penalty corner.

The Huskies had a taken a 1-0 lead in the first half when Julia Rush (Quakertown/Quakertown) scored on a penalty stroke 16:51 into the contest. IUP would tie the score at 1-1 on a penalty corner with Anouk Sickman scoring.

Bloomsburg goes to 7-1 on the year, while IUP falls to 2-4. Bloomsburg hosts East Stroudsburg on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
