It didn't take long for Amanda Riley (Tannersville, Pocono Mountain East) to find the back of the cage as the no. 4 Bloomsburg University (12-2, 5-1 PSAC East) field hockey team defeated no. 3 East Stroudsburg (14-3, 5-2 PSAC East), 1-0, on Saturday afternoon.

At the 4:28 mark in the first half, Riley scored her 12th goal of the season when she put the ball into the net, beating East Stroudsburg goalkeeper Maureen Ordnung.

That is all the Huskies offense would need on the day, as the defense allowed eight second-half shots by the Warriors, but none were able to get past Bloomsburg goalkeeper Meghan Hollenbach (Blandon, Fleetwood).

Hollenbach had six saves between the pipes for Bloomsburg, while East Stroudsburgs Ordnung tallied five stops.

The Huskies will return home on Wednesday, Nov. 3, hosting Kutztown in a PSAC East matchup for a 12 p.m. start. East Stroudsburg will visit Slippery Rock on Sunday, Nov. 7, for a 12 p.m. start.
