No. 9 TCNJ bests Ramapo

EWING, NJ -- TCNJ finished the New Jersey Athletic Conference portion of its schedule with a 7-0 win on Tuesday as they now must wait the rest of the conference slate play out to see where they fit in postseason play.

The ninth-ranked Lions currently sit on top of the standings with a 5-1 record and they are 13-2 overall. Top-ranked Montclair State is in second place, but they have two league games remaining. One thing TCNJ does know, is that they will host a semi-final contest on November 6, but that opponent won't be known until all conference games are complete.

The loss dropped Ramapo to 0-13 overall and 0-4 in league play.

The Lions struck early as freshman Danielle Andreula scored a pair of goals 2:20 apart in the opening 10 minutes of the half forging the hosts out to a 2-0 lead.

That lead doubled thanks to junior Erin Healy, who scored twice in an 18-second span making it a 4-0 TCNJ lead just minutes later.

The Lions scored three more times in the second half with junior Marissa Pennypacker netting her first collegiate goal 9:27 into the period.

TCNJ added two late goals as Healy completed the hat trick with her third of the game and senior Sarah Cummings picked up her second of the season to close out the scoring.
