Louisville held FIU to 0.1 yards per rush (3 yards on 34 attempts) and 30 yards overall (a school record) in its 72-0 victory.

Iowa is the second FBS team in the past 10 seasons with two punt return touchdowns and two interception return TDs in the same game (Southern Mississippi in 2011). The Hawkeyes beat Western Michigan 59-3 on Saturday.

Iowa’s Kevonte Martin-Manley is the second player in the past decade with two punt return touchdowns in a (second) quarter (Oregon's Cliff Harris in 2010).

Mississippi State had two players pass for a touchdown, rush for a TD and catch a TD in its 62-7 win against Troy. Dak Prescott threw for a touchdown, rushed for two scores and caught a 36-yard TD pass from Jameon Lewis, who also rushed for an 8-yard score and caught a 50-yard TD.

Notre Dame has won three consecutive meetings against Michigan State for the first time since winning eight in a row from 1987-94. The Irish beat the Spartans 17-13 on Saturday.

Ohio State’s Kenny Guiton set a school record with six touchdown passes in a game in the Buckeyes’ 76-0 victory against Florida A&M. He did it in a half. He’s the fifth Ohio State QB with four passing touchdowns in multiple games during a season and the first since Troy Smith in 2006.

Tom Savage tied an Atlantic Coast Conference record with six touchdown passes in Pittsburgh’s 58-55 win against Duke (Virginia’s Dan Ellis and Florida State’s Chris Weinke in 1999).

West Virginia finished with six turnovers and six first downs in its 37-0 loss to Maryland. It was the Mountaineers’ first shutout loss in 168 games.

Tennessee had six turnovers in losing to Florida for the ninth consecutive time, 31-17.

Marcus Williams had a 33-yard interception return for a touchdown in North Dakota State’s 51-0 victory against Delaware State. That gives Williams six INT TDs, tying the FCS record (Murray State's William Hampton). He has 20 career interceptions.

Johnny Manziel has nine games since the start of last season with 200 passing yards, a passing touchdown and a rush TD, the most such games in FBS during that span.

Utah State's past five losses have come by a combined total of 13 points. The Aggies lost 17-14 to Southern California on Saturday.

Baylor is the first FBS team to score at least 60 points in each of its first three games of a season since LSU in 1930, and the first team to score at least 60 points in three consecutive games since Oklahoma did it for five in a row in 2008. The Bears beat Louisiana-Monroe 70-7 on Saturday.

Miami (Fla.) scored 77 points against Savannah State, the most points it has scored in a game. The previous record was 75 against Fordham in 1954.

Eastern Illinois’ Jimmy Garoppolo threw six touchdown passes in a 43-39 loss to Northern Illinois, giving him 85 for his career. That ties the school record held by Tony Romo.

Aaron Murray's 98-yard touchdown pass to Reggie Davis was the longest play from scrimmage in Georgia history. Murray threw three TD passes in the Bulldogs' 45-21 win against North Texas to become the second SEC quarterback with 100 for his career. Murray has 102 (Florida's Danny Wuerffel had 114).

Brett Smith amassed 511 yards (373 passing, 138 rushing) and threw four touchdown passes in Wyoming’s 56-23 victory against Air Force to set school records for total yards in a game and career TD passes (57).

UCLA gained a school-record 692 yards in its 59-13 victory against New Mexico State.

Syracuse posted its 700th all-time win with a 52-17 victory against Tulane.
