Tennessee's Dallas, Posey leave team

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee wide receiver/kick returner Vincent Dallas and offensive lineman Alan Posey have left the team.

Volunteers coach Butch Jones confirmed their departures via text message Friday. Their exits were first reported by the Knoxville News Sentinel.

Dallas, a junior from Ellenwood, Ga., caught two passes for 14 yards this season. He also averaged 22.2 yards on 13 kickoff returns.

Dallas had worked out at defensive back before the 2012 season and in training camp this season before moving back to receiver each year. He had nine catches for 149 yards and a touchdown last season.

Posey, a sophomore from Smithonia, Ga., played in two games this season. He appeared in one game last year.
