Coaches Poll

Bethel (Minn.) defeated then-No. 18 Concordia-Moorhead in the only matchup between top 25 teams in the AFCA Division III Coaches’ Poll this weekend.

Complete Poll

Visiting the Cobbers in Moorhead, Bethel jumped out to a 21 point lead in the first quarter and never looked back on its way to a dominating 45-22 victory. The victory sets up an intriguing matchup between No. 8 Bethel and No. 12 St. Thomas (Minn.) in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, as the Tommies look to stay in contention for the title.

The rest of the poll looks remarkably similar to last week’s poll, with only two losses in Concordia-Moorhead and then-No. 20 Thomas More shuffling up the bottom half of the rankings.

There are two other compelling matchups this week, as No. 6 Wisconsin-Platteville travels to Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and No. 20 Pacific Lutheran hosts Pacific (Ore.). Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Pacific have both fielded great teams this year that have been waiting in the wings to take up spots in the polls.
