Marshall, Louisville agree to move '14 game

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall has agreed to move its home football game against Louisville next year to 2016 to accommodate the Cardinals' move to the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Marshall announced the scheduling change Tuesday.

The game was originally scheduled for Sept. 27, 2014, and now will be played on Sept. 24, 2016.

Louisville joins the ACC starting next July.

Marshall says it will announce an opponent later to replace Louisville on next year's schedule.

Men's college soccer rankings: Marshall in for first time in 18 years; Virginia still No. 1

The dust seems to have settled towards the top of the United Soccer Coaches poll — at least temporarily. Virginia is No. 1 in the rankings for a third consecutive poll and no team in the top 15 lost last week. At the other end, Marshall returns to the top 25 for the first time since 2001.
