The Great Locker Room Speech

There is no place on earth like a football locker room. Each locker room is unique, with its own set of rules, cliques and hierarchy. The head coach is the undisputed CEO of the locker room. When he speaks, players listen. Each coach has his own style to the locker room speech. Some are turn the volume to 11, some are calm and collective. All have message.

Lance Guidry and Mark Hudspeth may not be household names to the casual fan, but both coaches can fire up a group of young men before a bowl game. Guidry was the intern coach for Western Kentucky in 2012 when he spoke to his team before the Little Caesars Bowl. Hudspeth had a hard time controlling his enthusiam moments before his Ragin Cajuns took the field in the 2011 New Orleans Bowl.
