Arkansas State's Giddens giving up football

JONESBORO, Ark. -- Arkansas State center Bryce Giddens is giving up football because of various injuries.

ASU head coach Blake Anderson announced Monday that Giddens, a junior, had made the decision.

Giddens was a two-year starter for ASU and was named second-team All-Sun Belt Conference as a sophomore last season.

Giddens will work in administration for the ASU athletic department and will remain on scholarship as he pursues his degree.

National Collegiate women's bowling championship field announced

The NCAA Women’s Bowling Committee announced Wednesday the 16 teams vying for the 2021 NCAA women's bowling championship. Six conference teams have been granted automatic qualification, with the remaining teams being selected at-large.
