Arkansas State's Giddens giving up football

JONESBORO, Ark. -- Arkansas State center Bryce Giddens is giving up football because of various injuries.

ASU head coach Blake Anderson announced Monday that Giddens, a junior, had made the decision.

Giddens was a two-year starter for ASU and was named second-team All-Sun Belt Conference as a sophomore last season.

Giddens will work in administration for the ASU athletic department and will remain on scholarship as he pursues his degree.
