After falling behind at halftime 14-12, Scott capped four consecutive scoring drives with touchdown passes as the team got a boost from cheering U.S. Military members in attendance at Al-Nasr Stadium.
"After the game I was in tears," Scott said. "It was the greatest moment of my life."
Scott picked apart his neighbors from the north, finishing 7 of 9 for 187 yards and four scores. It was an emotional moment and an incredible trip, one he will remember for the rest of his life.
The trip included a brief training camp in Washington, D.C. where Scott and the other young college football players got an opportunity to visit the Lincoln Memorial, a meal on an Air Force base and a trip to the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait.
As he celebrated with a new group of friends from all over the United States, he received the MVP trophy from Kuwait royalty.
"Being awarded MVP is a blessing, but I was just so happy that we won," Scott said. "I'm headed home with a gold medal. It was a great experience and I'm so happy I did it."
