The Associated Press | August 4, 2014 Wake Forest's Garcia to miss season with torn ACL Share WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest says nose tackle Johnny Garcia is expected to miss the season after injuring his knee during practice. Team spokesman Steve Shutt announced Garcia's injury Monday. He says an MRI confirmed that the senior tore his right anterior cruciate ligament Saturday. Garcia is a converted tight end who played in all 12 games in each of the past two seasons both on the defensive line and on special teams. The injury further decimates a defensive line that lost three starters from 2013.
