Arkansas' special Ice Bucket Challenge

By now, everyone has seen or completed the Ice Bucket Challenge, raising money for ALS research. So a college football team doing the same is hardly news at this point.

But Arkansas' case is different.

Leanne Deacon, mother to Razorbacks guard Adam Deacon and former Arkansas lineman Tyler Deacon, died of ALS in March 2013. Adam Deacon has been a member of the scout team for the past three seasons, but Tuesday night, after speaking in front of the team about how the disease treats its victims and their familes, coach Bret Bielema had a surprise for the junior -- a scholarship.

"It honestly brought tears to my eyes," Deacon told ArkansasRazorbacks.com. "I told my dad and he was sitting there screaming for like a minute straight on the phone. It means the world to all of us."
