Georgia receiver joins book club

Georiga's Malcolm Mitchell is quite the student athlete. After a season-ending knee injury sidelined the Georgia receiver for the 2013 season, Mitchell decided to use his downtime wisely and join a book club -- a women’s book club.

Mitchell details his off-season experience in a recent Youtube video.

“Well actually growing up as kid I didn't read at all. I was always outside playing sports,” Mitchell said in the video “I developed a love of reading just over time. I found that it was very important to read and just those simple skills that reading gives you is very important in everyday life.”

Mitchell and the No. 12  Bulldogs will face No. 16 Clemson in their season opener Aug 30 in Athens, GA. It will be interesting to see if his new passion for reading books help him read defenses.
