The New York Times had previously released maps displaying the coverage of fandoms for professional baseball and basketball, and on Friday, college football got the fan map treatment.
Using Facebook data for 82 teams, the Times displays the most-liked schools down to every ZIP code. While as expected, most schools dominate their surrounding areas, the map shows that schools like Texas, Oregon, Florida and Michigan have plenty of national appeal.
Check out the post from the Times here, which goes into detail on the where the borders of several rivalries fall.
