Hobart's defense held Springfield to 175 total yards.
GENEVA, N.Y. -- Eighth-ranked Hobart bottled up one of the top offenses in the nation on its way to a 37-7 win against Springfield College. Linebacker's Trayvon Toney and Marcus Jemison led the charge, producing career-highs with 15 and 12 tackles, respectively.
The Pride (4-2, 2-1) came into the game third in the nation in rushing (417.2 yards per game), 12th in scoring (45.4 points per game), and 19th in total offense (505.0 yards per game), but fell well short of its averages against the Statesmen. Springfield gained season-lows, 145 yards rushing and 175 yards of total offense on the day.
Hobart (6-0, 3-0) had more rushing yards than the Pride had total yards, gaining 186 on the ground and another 137 through the air for 323 yards on the day. Senior fullback Dominique Ellis rushed for a game-high 58 yards on 10 carries and scored three touchdowns.
Quarterback Patrick Conlan completed 72 percent of his passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Elvin Souffrant had a game-high four catches for 63 yards and one touchdowns. Tight end Mike Berkowitz also had a touchdown.
Hobart controlled the clock, holding the ball for 34:15, converted 40 percent of its third downs and was 2-for-2 on fourth down.

Top-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater tallied 21 second-quarter points and recorded its second shutout of the year Saturday in a 37-0 triumph at Wisconsin-Stout in a conference match-up at Williams Stadium in Menomonie, Wis.
The Warhawks (5-0 overall, 2-0 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference), won their 22nd consecutive contest, tied for the second longest streak in college football. Wisconsin-Whitewater totaled 513 yards and held the Blue Devils (1-4, 0-2) to 242 yards of total offense. The Warhawks forced four turnovers.
Senior quarterback Matt Behrendt threw for two touchdowns and 303 yards, including 225 in the first half. Senior wide receiver Justin Howard posted seven receptions for a career-high 124 yards and a touchdown.
Senior defensive back Brady Grayvold led the defense with six tackles and two interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown.
No. 2 Mary Hardin-Baylor 56, Sul Ross State 9
ALPINE, Texas -- Mary Hardin-Baylor started slow but the Cru eventually rolled to a 56-9 victory against Sul Ross State Saturday afternoon. With the victory, UMHB improves to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in American Southwest Conference play. The loss drops the Lobos to 1-5 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
Sul Ross State opened the scoring with a 25-yard James Davis run on the Lobos opening possession. UMHB fumbled away a scoring chance on its next drive before finally answering with Michael Carpenter's nine-yard TD run with 3:44 left in the first quarter. Sul Ross State blocked the extra point and returned it for two points for a 9-6 Lobo lead.
Zach Anderson broke off a 45-yard scoring run on the next UMHB drive to give the Cru its first lead of the game at 13-9. Anderson then added touchdown passes to Marcus Wimby and Kamray Runnels to give UMHB a 27-9 halftime lead. Duane Thompson ran for three additional scores in the third quarter. The Cru added a safety and T.J. Josey scored on a 24-yard run in the fourth quarter to provide the final tally.
UMHB rolled up 530 yards of total offense with 324 of those coming on the ground. Sul Ross managed just 163 total yards on 64 offensive plays and turned the ball over twice.

ADA, Ohio -- Senior quarterback Kevin Burke threw for three scores and ran for three more while the defense posted its second consecutive shutout as No. 3 Mount Union beat Ohio Northern 62-0 Saturday.
Burke was 20 of 31 for 327 yards passing and matched his career-high with three rushing scores on a season-high 65 yards rushing on eight carries as he led an offense that generated 656 yards of offense.
His top target, junior wide receiver Roman Namdar, had a career-high 176 yards receiving on seven catches and a touchdown. Junior wide receiver Taurice Scott had 63 yards receiving on a career-high nine catches with two scores.
The Raiders rolled out 305 rushing yards as sophomore Bradley Mitchel had a game-high 93 rushing yards, junior Logan Nemeth, 84 yards rushing while fellow junior Brandon Williams had 64 yards rushing and a score.
Mount Union's defense held Ohio Northern to 130 total yards with 9.0 tackles for loss, three sacks and a pair of interceptions.

SELMA, Ala. -- Fourth-ranked Wesley scored 35 points in the second half and forced six turnovers en route to a 54-0 victory at Concordia (Ala.) at Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Wolverines are now 6-0 on the year while the Hornets fall to 1-5.
Joe Callahan threw for 149 yards and three touchdowns with two of the scoring plays going to Steve Koudossou. Callahan went over 50 passing touchdowns in his career while Koudossou caught his 39th touchdown, breaking Ellis Krout's school-record of 38.
The Wolverines allowed 122 total yards with five different players catching interceptions. Defensive end Aamir Petrose forced and returned a fumble 19 yards for a score. Wesley's special teams also contributed to the effort with an 83-yard kickoff return by Bryce Shade to open the second half.

McMINNVILLE, Ore. -- Quarterback Sam Riddle passed for 124 yards and two touchdowns in two quarters, and 10 Linfield ballcarriers combined for 224 rushing yards as the No. 5 Wildcats beat George Fox 59-0 Saturday afternoon in Northwest Conference play at Maxwell Field.
The Wildcats and Bruins met for the first time in over seven decades, and the result was largely similar to their last meeting in 1942, a 50-0 Linfield win.
Linfield (4-0, 2-0 NWC) scored four touchdowns in a span of three minutes through the first quarter to take a 28-0 lead.
The Wildcats limited George Fox to 82 yards total offense, including 14 rushing, and five first downs. Linfield also forced four turnovers -- three interceptions and one fumble -- with three of those for touchdowns.
No. 6 John Carroll 69, Wilmington 0
Sixth-ranked John Carroll (5-0, 4-0 OAC) scored touchdowns on its first eight possessions and shutout Wilmington College (0-5, 0-4 OAC) 69-0 on Saturday afternoon inside Williams Stadium. The 69 points were the fourth-most in program history and most since JCU blanked Otterbein 73-0 in 2002.
John Carroll clicked from the start as Mark Myers connected with Hayes Chrispin for a 31-yard touchdown strike on the Blue and Gold's first offensive play. The touchdown marked the first of Chrispin's career.
Myers tossed three more touchdown passes, a 9-yard strike to Zach Strippy, a 6-yard lob to Brendan Carozzoni and a 50-yard strike to the elusive Aramis Greenwood. He finished 14 of 18 for 284 yards and five scores. Greenwood ended his afternoon with six receptions for 168 yards and a score.
The JCU defense forced 11 three-and-outs on the day, holding Wilmington to just 180 yards. Michael Hippler and Owen Reilly led the charge combining for 13 tackles.
No. 7 Wartburg 43, Coe 0
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Wartburg moved to 5-0 on the season and 2-0 in Iowa Conference play with its 43-0 win against Coe (2-3, 1-1) Saturday.
The win marked the second-largest margin of victory for the Knights in the series as the biggest margin was 48 in their 48-0 win against the Kohawks in 1999. This also marked the first shutout for the Orange and Black since the 73-0 season opener against MacMurray in 2012.
After an interception on its first drive, Wartburg scored on its ensuing a drive as Taylor Jacobsmeier caught a 35-yard pass from junior Logan Schrader to complete a six-play, 66-yard scoring drive.
Schrader finished 18 of 26 for 259 passing yards for three touchdown passes. Jacobsmeier had six catches for 96 yards with two touchdowns.
Domeyer led the team on the ground with 83-yards and one touchdown.
Gunner Tranel led the defense with 12 total tackles (eight solo and four assists). As a team, Wartburg registered six sacks for a loss of 45 yards.
No. 10 Wabash 45, Ohio Wesleyan 13
DELAWARE, Ohio -- After a stalemate the game's first 20 minutes, the No. 10 Wabash (5-0, 4-0 North Coast Atlantic Conference) put away Ohio Wesleyan (3-2, 2-2 NCAC) with 35 unanswered points.
Little Giants receiver Houston Hodges' first score put Wabash up 17-13 midway through the second quarter and began a five-touchdown run.
Quarterback Michael Putko connected with Hodges on three touchdowns, throwing 14 of 16 for 168 yards. But Putko did not take all of the snaps as Connor Rice also saw playing time, beginning in the second quarter. Rice completed 3-for-4 passes for 47 yards.
Austin Brown led all defenders with 15 tackles. Delon Pettiford and Tyler McCullen each had eight for Wabash.
