ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Third-ranked Mount Union won its 90th consecutive regular season game with a 74-7 rout of Wilmington in Ohio Athletic Conference play Saturday at Mount Union Stadium.
Senior quarterback Kevin Burke threw for three scores and ran in another in just over a quarter to lead the Purple Raiders to a 7-0 (6-0 OAC) start to the season.
Burke tossed two scores to Taurice Scott and one to Roman Namdar.
Edward Ruhnke matched an OAC record kicking five field goals including matching a school-record with a 47-yarder.
Logan Nemeth, Bradley Mitchell and Brandon Williams each had rushing touchdowns.
The Mount Union defense held the Quakers to 180 total yards and forced three turnovers -- three fumbles and an interception from Tre Jones.
No. 1 Wisconsin-Whitewater 24, Wisconsin-Oshkosh 7
WHITEWATER, Wis. -- Top-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater scored 17 first-half points and used an aggressive, hard-hitting style of defense on Homecoming Saturday to defeat Wisconsin-Oshkosh 24-7 in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference showdown in front of a record-setting crowd of 13,627 at Perkins Stadium.
The Warhawks (7-0 overall, 4-0 WIAC) scored the first 24 points in the game and allowed only a touchdown midway through the fourth quarter -- the first touchdown surrendered by the defense in just 11 quarters -- against the Titans.
Whitewater extended its win streak to 24, the second-longest in any NCAA division of college football.
Senior quarterback Matt Behrendt finished 17 of 29 for 175 yards and two touchdowns with one interception -- his first since Nov. 2, 2013, after 388 straight attempts without a pick.
Junior running back Jordan Radcliffe rushed for a team high 66 yards and a touchdown on 17 carried , while senior wide receiver Justin Howard corralled five receptions for 43 yards. Senior wide receiver Jake Kumerow tallied three catches for 59 yards and a score.
Junior defensive back Ryan Winske and junior linebacker Justin Dischler led the Whitewater defense with 11 and 10 tackles, respectively. Sophomore defensive lineman Brandon Tamsett totaled six tackles, including two for a loss, and junior defensive lineman Zach Franz registered six stops and 1.5 sacks.
No. 2 Mary Hardin-Baylor 72, Texas Lutheran 16
SEGIUN, Texas -- Second-ranked Mary Hardin-Baylor exploded in the second quarter to break open a close game as the Cru raced past 17th-ranked Texas Lutheran 72-16 Saturday afternoon. UMHB improves to 7-0 on the season with the victory and wins its 14th straight over the Bulldogs. Texas Lutheran falls to 6-1 on the year with the loss.
The two teams traded field goals on their opening possessions with Tyler Brandenburg hitting from 40 yards out for TLU and Jacob O'Neill connecting on a 50-yarder for the Cru.
Brandenburg added a 23-yarder on the next Bulldog drive to give TLU a 6-3 edge. That would be the final lead of the game for Texas Lutheran.
Duane Thompson scored on a six-yard run with 4:24 left in the first half to put UMHB up 10-6. A bad snap cost UMHB a shot at another field goal on the Cru's next possession.
Kamray Runnels returned a punt 86 yards for a score and Blake Jackson hit Nelson with a one-yard scoring strike to stretch the lead to 59-6 before Trenton White broke the TLU drought with a 15-yard TD strike to Caleb Oliver. Damon Thomas scored on a one-yard run and Ryan Allenreturned an interception 40 yards for another score to push the lead to 72-13. Kike Valladares closed out the scoring with a 39-yard field goal for TLU with 59 seconds left to play.
UMHB rolled up 553 yards of total offense with 372 of those coming through the air. Texas Lutheran totaled 412 yards but more than half of those came in the second half after the outcome had been decided. The Cru defense forced five turnovers and scored 27 points off those turnovers.
No. 4 Wesley 75, Virginia-Lynchburg 12
LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Fourth-ranked Wesley set a new school-record for points in a game with a 75-12 victory against Virginia-Lynchburg on Saturday afternoon at City Stadium. The Wolverines are now 8-0 on the season while the Dragons fall to 0-6.
Joe Callahan threw for 246 yards and five touchdowns while completing 14-for-18 passes before giving way to Zach Smith who tossed two more touchdowns with 55 yards on 3 of 4 passing.
The Wolverines also made things happen on the ground as Jamar Baynard gained 109 yards with a score on 19 attempts. Kennard Squirrell also found the endzone, gaining 54 yards on just six carries. Six different players caught touchdown passes with Steve Koudossou scoring twice on both of his catches for 49 yards.
Wesley's defense registered nine sacks and 17 tackles for loss while holding the Dragons to 185 total yards (-2 rushing).
No. 6 Wartburg 52, Luther 7
WAVERLY, Iowa -- Sixth-ranked Wartburg moved to 7-0 on the season and 4-0 in Iowa Conference play with its 52-7 win against Luther (4-3, 1-3) Saturday.
The Knights totaled 408 yards of offense and held the Norse to 193 yards on the ground and zero yards through the air. This marked the fifth time in school history Wartburg allowed zero passing yards in a game. The Black and Orange defense previously achieved the feat against Iowa Weselyan (1956), Buena Vista (1953), Luther (1965) and Lea (1969).
Junior Brandon Domeyer started the scoring frenzy on his five-yard touchdown run on the Knights' first drive of the game. He finished the day with 34 yards on the ground.
Richardson had a team-high 38 yards on the ground and was closely followed by 34 from Domeyer.
Wartburg quarterback Logan Schrader finished 15 of 21 for 252 yards and two touchdowns.
Senior Taylor Jacobsmeier led all receivers with 106 yards while Junior Gunner Tranel led the defense with 12 total tackles (eight solo, four assists).
Richardson had a team-high 38 yards on the ground and was closely followed by 34 from Domeyer. Schrader finished 15-21-0 for 252 yards and two touchdowns.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Seventh-ranked John Carroll tied two school records Saturday afternoon as (7-0, 6-0 OAC) the Blue Streaks rolled to a 71-7 win against Capital (2-5, 1-5 OAC) inside Don Shula Stadium.
It was déjà vu for Aramis Greenwood.
One week after scoring JCU's first kick return touchdown in 12 years, the senior was at it again. Greenwood took the opening kickoff 100 yards for the score tying the all-time school record for the longest kickoff return. Previously Tim Barrett went the distance of the field against Bethany during the 1973 season.
Kresimir Ivkovic tied the all-time record for most field goals as the senior knocked in 17 and 34-yard tries in the third quarter to move into a tie with David Vitatoe (1997-00) with 35 career makes.
The 71 points represent the fifth-most points in school history. In the past three weeks, the Blue Streaks have scored the second-most, fifth-most and six-most points in school history.
No. 8 Hobart 35, RPI 7
TROY, N.Y. -- Eighth-ranked Hobart recorded six sacks and an interception returned for a touchdown on the way to a 35-3 Liberty League win at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Saturday. Sophomore linebacker Marcus Jemison led the charge into the Engineers' backfield with three sacks, while sophomore cornerback Todd Collier's 31-yard pick six started a 21-point third quarter for the Statesmen.
The Statesmen (7-0, 4-0) defense rang up a season-high six sacks on the day, the most by Hobart since logging 11 at Utica in 2012. In addition to Jemison, senior defensive end Tyre Coleman, senior linebacker Nolan Toran, and junior linebacker Jacob Stanley also hauled down the RPI quarterback. For Coleman, it was the 43rd career sack, moving him into a tie for fourth place in NCAA Division III history. The Statesmen limited the Engineers to 218 yards of total offense, including just 64 passing.
Hobart got on the board first when junior fullback Christopher Holoman lined up as a tailback, ran around the left end and down the sideline for a 33-yard touchdown with 5:13 to play in the opening quarter. The extra point was missed and the visitors held a 6-0 lead after the first frame. The Statesmen doubled their lead at 9:59 of the second quarter when senior fullback Dominque Ellis pushed his way into the end zone from 3 yards out for a 12-0 advantage. It was his team-leading seventh touchdown of the season. Hobart again missed the extra point, leaving their lead at a dozen.
Hobart finished with 379 yards of offense, including 295 on the ground. Christopher Holoman finished with a career-high 91 rushing yards on only three carries, while Hartigan ran 15 times for 83 yards. Senior quarterback Patrick Conlan completed 8-of-16 passes for 84 yards with two interceptions.
No. 9 Johns Hopkins 37, Gettysburg 14
BALTIMORE, MD -- Ninth-ranked Johns Hopkins jumped out to a 34-0 halftime lead and senior quarterback Braden Anderson threw for 306 yards and four touchdowns in just over one half of action as the Blue Jays improved to 7-0 overall and 6-0 in the Centennial Conference with a 37-14 victory against visiting Gettysburg Friday night at Homewood Field.
In addition to winning 40 of their last 41 regular season games, the Blue Jays also handed head coach Jim Margraff his 174th career victory, which ties him with Morgan State coach Eddie Hurt as the winningest college football coach in Maryland's history. Hurt won 174 games from 1929-'59. Margraff, who is now in his 25th season as the head coach at Johns Hopkins, improves to 174-82-3 since taking over in 1990.
Anderson led the Blue Jays to touchdowns on the first three possessions and capped off the first two with touchdowns passes of 35 yards to Stuart Walters and 50 yards to Bradley Munday. Walters' 35-yard touchdown reception came after the Blue Jay defense stopped Gettysburg on a fourth-and-one on its opening possession of the game, while Munday's came on the first play of Hopkins' second drive.
The Johns Hopkins defense allowed just 21 yards in the first quarter and the Blue Jay offense made it three touchdowns in three possessions after another Gettysburg three-and-out after Munday's touchdown. Anderson directed the eight-play, 51-yard drive completing 5 of 6 for 38 yards before Walters darted the final 15 yards to the end zone to make it 21-0 just 11:29 into the game.
The Blue Jay defense sacked Gettysburg quarterback Zach Miller five times and 158 of the Bullets' 287 yards of total offense came in the fourth quarter. Keith Corliss posted a team-high six tackles, while seniors Michael Rocca and Michael Longo each had 1.5 sacks on the night.
No. 10 Wabash 70, Oberlin 10
Tenth-ranked Wabash routed Oberlin 70-10 at Little Giant Stadium Saturday.
Wabash wasted little time as the Little Giants scored touchdowns on their first six drives and left little doubt about the game's outcome with a 42-3 halftime lead.
Head coach Eric Raeburn rotated quarterbacks for the third-consecutive game as Michael Putko and Connor Rice each had multiple scores. Putko threw two first-half touchdowns, one to Eric Downing and one to Drake Christen. Rice threw a laser to Houston Hodges for a touchdown, and each quarterback ran for another. Tyler Holmes added the sixth Little Giant first-half touchdown while Erikson Andrews drilled a 41-yard field goal for Oberlin.
The quarterbacks combined for seven total touchdowns and just two incompletions. Putko passed for 156 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 28 yards and a score.
AJ Clark paced Wabash in tackles with seven. The Little Giants sacked the Yeoman quarterback five times, led by Cody Buresh's two sacks. He is now one sack away from tying the all-time career Wabash sack record.
