Stephen F. Austin's Gus Johnson ran for 116 yards on 22 carries against Southeastern Louisiana.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Gus Johnson ran for 116 yards and two touchdowns and Zach Conque passed for 160 yards to give Stephen F. Austin a 27-17 victory against Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday.
Southeastern, trailing 20-10 midway in the fourth quarter, drove to SFA's 17 where Patrick Martin picked off a pass, returning it 77 yards. Conque then ran the ball three straight times and scored from the 10 to seal the victory for SFA (6-2, 3-1 Southland Conference).
Southeastern (6-3, 4-1), which had been the only team undefeated in conference play, quickly came back as Bryan Bennett hit Jeff Smiley on an 83-yard scoring strike to close the gap to 27-17 with 2:24 remaining. The ensuing onside kick was recovered by the Lumberjacks.
Johnson, who now has 1,102 yards rushing on the season, also caught two passes for a total of 25 yards.
Bennett passed for 186 yards and one touchdown.
No. 1 North Dakota St. 47, South Dakota 7
VERMILLION, S.D. -- Carson Wentz passed for three touchdowns and 231 yards to lead North Dakota State past South Dakota 47-7 on Saturday.
The Bison (8-0, 4-0, Missouri Valley Conference) held South Dakota (2-6, 0-4) to 238 total yards and 2-for-12 on third down conversions. The Coyotes made three turnovers.
North Dakota settled for a pair of short Adam Keller field goals before getting rolling. After the second kick, Esley Thorton forced Jordan Roberts to fumble, giving Bison a short field. Three plays later, John Crockett rumbled in from 10 yards and the rout was on.
Wentz hit Luke Albers from 10 yards after a 9-play, 72 yard drive and Keller added a 49-yard field goal to give the Bison a 23-7 lead at intermission.
Wentz tossed scoring strikes to RJ Urzendowski and Crockett in the third and Chase Morlockadded a fourth quarter 23-yard TD run.
Northern Arizona 28, No. 2 Eastern Washington 27
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Jordan Perry hit Dan Galindo with a 20-yard strike with 12 seconds left and Northern Arizona beat Eastern Washington 28-27 on Saturday, ending the Eagles' 14-game Big Sky Conference winning streak.
The Lumberjacks (5-3, 3-1) went 77 yards in three plays to shock the Eagles (7-2, 4-1), who went for a fourth-and-4 at the NAU 23 with 51 seconds left. After Perry scrambled for 3 yards he found Alex Holmes behind the defense for 54 yards. Perry had stepped in for injured Chase Cartwright, who threw for 255 yards. Perry was 4 for 6 and Galindo, a freshman, scored his first touchdown.
Eastern Washington, which had won four consecutive at NAU, passed on a potential 40-yard field goal after Quincy Forte had ripped off a 67-yard run. He had a career-high 219 yards in his first game after missing four because of a shoulder injury.
NAU had 496 yards and held EWU to 3 of 13 on third down.
No. 3 Coastal Carolina 43, Charleston Southern 22
CONWAY, S.C. -- Alex Ross threw touchdown passes of 74 and 51 yards to John Israel and De'Angelo Henderson ran for three touchdowns as Coastal Carolina remained undefeated with a 43-22 win against Charleston Southern on Saturday.
Ross was 12 of 17 for 276 yards and three touchdowns, and Israel had three catches for 174 yards for the Chanticleers (8-0, 2-0 Big South). Ross also ran for 55 yards on nine carries.
Henderson had 110 yards rushing on 12 carries. His third touchdown run capped a 22-point second-half run for a 43-15 CCU lead early in the fourth quarter.
After missing his first two extra-point attempts, David Kennedy kicked a 25-yard field goal as time expired in the first half to bring Charleston Southern (5-3, 0-2) within 21-15.
Mike Holloway ran four times for 80 yards and a touchdown for the Buccaneers.
No. 4 Villanova 48, Morgan State 28
PHILADELPHIA -- John Robertson threw three touchdown passes -- and ran for two more and 99 yards -- leading Villanova against Morgan State 48-28 on Saturday.
Kevin Monangai ran for 170 yards and two touchdowns as Villanova accumulated 364 yards rushing.
Robertson took Villanova's first play from scrimmage 56 yards for a touchdown, but the Wildcats didn't run away from Morgan State (4-4) until the third quarter despite a frantic pace that saw the game tied at 21 at intermission.
In the third, Villanova (7-1) busted loose for four touchdowns. Monangai started the frenzy with a 1-yard plunge following a 75-yard drive. Robertson ran for a 4-yard score after a punt block gave the Cats a short field. Robertson then threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Poppy Livers and Monangai capped it with an 81-yard romp.
Moses Skillon was 23 of 38 with a touchdown for Morgan State but threw 3 picks.
No. 5 New Hampshire 28, Stony Brook 20
DURHAM, N.H. -- Cam Shorey blocked Graham Ball's potential game-tying extra point, Jimmy Owens broke a 51-yard touchdown run on the ensuing drive, and New Hampshire held on to beat Stony Brook 28-20 on Saturday.
Trailing 21-14 late in the fourth, Stony Brook drove 43 yards on four plays, capped by Conor Bednarski's 31-yard touchdown pass to Adrian Coxson, cutting the Wildcats' lead to 21-20 and setting up Shorey's and Owens' game-saving plays.
Owens led New Hampshire (6-1, 4-0 Colonial Athletic Association) with 74 yards on seven carries and quarterback Andy Vailas added 131 yards passing and 55 rushing with two scores.
Bednarski finished with 227 yards and two touchdown passes, and Coxson and Donavin Washington each went over 100 yards receiving for Stony Brook (4-5, 3-2). The Seawolves' final possession ended when Bednarski fumbled after a sack by Cody Muller and the ball was recovered by Matt Kaplan.
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- Chris Brown ran for 226 yards and two touchdowns as Cal Poly ground out a 41-21 win against Montana Saturday night.
The win was just the third in 18 meetings with the Grizzlies. Montana (5-3, 3-1 Big Sky) now joins Cal Poly (5-3, 4-1) and four other teams with one loss. Idle Montana State is now the lone unbeaten conference team.
The Mustangs got a 5-yard run from Brandon Howe with :48 left in the first half to make it 14-14 and Chris Brown engineered three straight touchdowns in the second half to take control. Brown tossed 5 yards to Kori Garcia to give Cal Poly the lead, then ran 17 yards for a score in the final minute of the third quarter and ran 15 yards for another early in the fourth.
Cal Poly rushed 66 times for 421 yards while the defense held Montana to 376 total yards.
No. 7 Jacksonville 61, Limestone College 10
GAFFNEY, S.C. -- Ignited by an offense that netted 651 yards and an interception return of 95 yards, Jacksonville bolted to a 42-7 halftime lead and went on to win its seventh consecutive game with a 61-10 victory against Limestone on Saturday.
The Dolphins (7-1, 5-0 Pioneer Football League), started the onslaught only 52 seconds in the game when quarterback Kade Bell hit running back Frantz Caudio on a 35-yard touchdown pass to end a three-play, 79 yard drive.
The 61 points was the most the team has scored since 2013 against Warner University and ties for fourth the all-time points in a game.
Bell, who was 9 of 12 for 185 yards and three touchdowns, then hit running back Orlando Thomas for a 58-yard score and followed that with an 11-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Andy Jones and a 21-0 first quarter lead over the first-year Division II program.
No. 9 Illinois State 21, Missouri State 7
NORMAL, Ill. -- Tre Roberson threw for two touchdowns and ran for another as Illinois State remained undefeated with a 21-7 victory over Missouri State on Saturday night.
Illinois State (7-0, 4-0 Missouri Valley), opening a season with seven straight wins for the first time since 1932, remained tied atop the conference standings with top-ranked North Dakota State, the only MVFC team not on its schedule.
Trailing 7-6 in the fourth quarter, the Redbirds rallied behind Roberson, who ran 7 yards for a score and threw 2 yards to James O'Shaughnessy for another.
The ninth-ranked FCS Redbirds, averaging 42.2 points, were up only 6-0 at halftime on Roberson's 28-yard pass to Scott Kuehn.
The Bears (4-4, 1-3) took the lead with a 90-yard drive in the third quarter capped by Kierra Harris' 30-yard pass to Deion Holliman.
Marshaun Coprich rushed for 148 yards on 31 carries for Illinois State.
No. 10 McNeese State 41, UIW 21
SAN ANTONIO -- Brent Spikes had a record-breaking game on Saturday night in McNeese's 41-21 Southland Conference win against Incarnate Word when he picked off three passes for a total of 148 interception return yards to help keep the 10th-ranked Cowboys in the hunt for the league championship while picking up their first road win of the season.
McNeese improved to 5-2 overall but most importantly, 3-1 in league play. And with the loss by Southeastern Louisiana earlier in the day to Stephen F. Austin, McNeese is now in a five-way tie for first place in the loss department.
Although the game was well in hand, Spikes' third interception of the game put the final nail in the coffin when he returned it 45 yards for a touchdown to give McNeese a 41-14 lead with 7:17 to play in the game.
