OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma State cornerback Kevin Peterson and Oklahoma cornerback Zack Sanchez have been named to the preseason watch list for the Jim Thorpe Award.
The two are among 42 players named to the watch list for the award that's presented each year to the player selected the top defensive back in the nation.
The list will eventually be narrowed to three finalists with the winner to be announced Dec. 10. The Jim Thorpe Award Banquet is scheduled for Feb. 2 in Oklahoma City.
