Catch it like Beckham

Notre Dame freshman Alize Jones hasn't even played his first game for the Fighting Irish, but the tight end is already making NFL-caliber catches.

During Notre Dame's Saturday practice, Jones hauled in a one-handed catch that is reminiscent of a grab made by New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in January that some believe to be the best catch in NFL history.

That’s a heck of a grab by Jones and with the excellent athleticism he clearly possesses, it’s unlikely this will be the last time the freshman makes a highlight-worthy catch.

Jones caught 41 passes for 930 yards and 13 touchdowns during his senior season at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nev.
