Oregon invites Umpqua Community College students and staff to game

In a classy move, the University of Oregon Athletic Department is inviting Umpqua Community College students and staff to its game this Saturday against Washington State.

A brutal mass shooting recently took place on Umpqua’s campus.

Oregon has taken several measures to show support for the community college. Last week, the Ducks and Oregon State Beavers each paid tribute to the victims on their football helmets.

Nothing will erase the pain the Umpqua community is suffering as a result of the tragedy, but Oregon has put forth a series of thoughtful gestures, nonetheless.
