The 1995 Northwestern team finished with 10-2 record and went undefeated in conference play under coach Gary Barnett and current coach Pat Fitzgerald, who played linebacker for the Wildcats. The uniforms for Saturday are the same black-jersey, purple-pants combination worn by the team in the 1996 Rose Bowl, where Northwestern lost to then Pac-10 champion USC. The throwback uniforms feature the iconic Rose Bowl logo with a patch on the jersey's neckline.
Twenty years ago this fall, Gary Barnett took the purple to Pasadena. On Saturday, we will honor those '95 #B1GCats. http://t.co/YninqeROWS
