Ferris State's Jason Vander Laan sets NCAA quarterback rushing record

Ferris State quarterback Jason Vander Laan set the NCAA record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in any division with a 53-yard touchdown run against Ohio Dominican.

With the score, Vander Laan broke Wofford quarterback Shawn Graves' 23-year-old record of 5,128 rushing yards.

Coming in to Saturday's contest, Vander Laan needed only 71 yards to take the rushing crown. And after the opening driving, Vander Laan was almost halfway there with 33 yards on the ground.

Only a junior, Vander Laan will surely add to his impressive mark.
