Typically, if you're playing on the road and a special guest of the home team comes out with the captains for the coin toss, you might not take time speak to them.
But, TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin isn't typical.
After the coin toss at Iowa State, Boykin kneeled to speak with Abby Faber, a Kid Captain from Blank Children's Hospital who has spastic diplegia cerebral palsy.
"Who but a true champion does that just minutes before a big game?," wrote Paul Moseley, the photographer who captured the heart-warming moment.
And, being a true champion is how Boykin is gaining fans outside of Horned Frog country.
The Heisman Trophy candidate's atypical kindess goes well with his atypical athletic ability. Boykin racked up 436 passing yards and four touchdowns in Ames.
