Ben Simmons has a legitimate chance to win the Naismith Award in college basketball this year. The 6’10” forward is blessed with size, humungous hands, other-worldly vision and elite athleticism.

Sounds like some ideal qualities for an SEC wide receiver to have, right?

In August, head football coach Les Miles joked that Simmons could set the NCAA record for touchdowns if he were to put on a helmet and shoulder pads. But the freshman decided to take the idea to a whole new level with his latest Instagram post.

What if???

Simmons and Leonard Fournette playing the same sport, on the same team? Now that's just scary.

Joe Boozell has been a college basketball writer for NCAA.com since 2015. His work has also appeared in Bleacher Report, FOXSports.com and NBA.com. Joe’s claim to fame since joining NCAA.com: he’s predicted the correct national championship game twice… and picked the wrong winner both times. Growing up, Joe squared off against both Anthony Davis and Frank Kaminsky in the Chicagoland basketball scene. You can imagine how that went.
