Welcome back, sports fans, to Throwback Thursday, a time to look upon our past with equal parts nostalgia, pride and a healthy dose of shame. For as casual style goes through awkward changes and redesigns so do football uniforms and logos.
This week we take a look at the 2012 Wyoming Cowboys:
Wyoming didn't wear these uniforms for the entirety of the 2012 season, and they only finished 4-8 that year.
But these uniforms deserve acknowledgement, regardless.
The Cowboys welcomed Air Force to War Memorial Stadium on October 13 for homecoming, and, seeing as it was Military Day, Wyoming thought it fitting to wear special camoflagued uniforms to show support for the troops.
Wyoming led 24-7 at halftime, perhaps sparked by their new threads or the homecoming atmosphere, but the Cowboys weren't able to hold on to that lead and fell to the Falcons, 28-27.
But the real winners were the players who got to wear these slick helmets.
