Fake kicks aren't easy to defend, but they're even harder to stop when the passer throws the ball behind his back and into the arms of his receiver in the endzone.
That's exactly what St. Thomas did on an extra point attempt against Carleton College this weekend. Holder Charlie Dowdle faked a lateral to kicker Paul Graupner, and immediately threw the ball behind his back into the air where Matt Christenson hauled in the catch for the two-point conversion.
The score gave St. Thomas an 8-3 lead, and the Tommies went on to win 80-3.
