UCLA football: Bruins sign 9-year-old boy battling brain tumor to recruiting class

The UCLA football program made an awesome addition to its 2016 recruiting class on Saturday, signing nine-year-old Cade Spinello.

Spinello, who is battling a brain tumor, has long had a special connection with the Bruins program.

Last September, Spinello practiced with the team and scored a touchdown. UCLA made note of Spinello's great performance at that practice in their letter of intent, writing that they wanted to sign him "after watching you tear through the UCLA Football Defense."

Kudos to UCLA. This is an amazing gesture for someone who is clearly very special to the program.
