After seeing the Army branch and Navy fleet helmet designs from last season, you had to wonder what idea the Air Force football program could up with to compete with those. Well, wonder no further.
Air Force unveiled on its Twitter account Sunday a special "Legacy Series Sharktooth" helmet design for the Falcons to wear for their Sept. 10 game against Georgia State. Air Force athletic director Jim Knowlton also posted a sneak peak at the entire Legacy Series uniform.Take a closer look:

While the Air Force mascot is the falcon, the shark helmets pay homage to nose art painted on World War II P-40 fighter planes, most notably for the Flying Tigers squadron as mentioned by Knowlton.
Good luck to the rest of college football teams trying to top Air Force's helmet game.
