Janie Harris | NCAA.com | August 18, 2016 Jacksonville State receives new turf Share Announced on Wednesday, Jacksonville State’s Burgess-Snow Field received a new turf, which is now fully installed and ready to face the 2016 season. "We got on it [Tuesday] night for the first time, and our guys were just chomping at the bit,” said head coach John Grass. “We got on it for the second time [Wednesday], and that's going to make it hard to go back to the practice field. It's a whole lot softer and better than our old turf, and it looks great." Related Story: 4 players who can become household names Today, the team heads back out onto the practice field to continue preparations for the opening game against North Alabama, which will take place on the new turf. Still, JSU football as well as the coaches took to social media to show off the new field.
