Fighting Irish take to waves in preparation for season

The Fighting Irish took to the waves and flew through the air one afternoon. A variety of players from the offensive line to special teams suited up and tried flyboarding in the video colloboration with Bleacher Report.

Flyboarding is a newer watersport where an individual straps themselves to a board, which is connected to a watercraft like a Jet Ski or Wave Runner, that sends the individual through the air using water propulsion. The players threw passes to their teammates in the air, practicing their balancing ability and hand-eye coordination.

Will the punter’s ability to catch a football while on a flyboard help Notre Dame throughout its season? Maybe not, but at least the Fighting Irish players look like they were able to enjoy a summer day before buckling down and focusing on football season.

Notre Dame will soon be drying off their helmets to travel and face Texas in their opening game on Sunday, Sept. 4.
