Offense has been at a premium so far in the first college football battle of the Week 8 slate, but that does not mean that Miami (Fla.) and Virginia Tech haven't provided some highlights.
The play of the game so far — with a full half of football to play — must go to Virginia Tech's linebacker Terrell Edmunds, who makes an acrobatic interception while working in trail coverage early in the second quarter.
Miami quarterback Brad Kaaya is the recipient of some bad luck here for sure, but sometimes good defense just finds a way to trump good offense. Hokies lead the Hurricanes 13-3 midway through the second quarter.
