Boston College retires Luke Kuechly’s number

Before he was winning Defensive Player of the Year awards for the Carolina Panthers, Luke Kuechly was chasing down ball-carriers at Boston College.

The former Golden Eagle star returned to campus this past weekend to attend his own number retirement ceremony, and Kuechly is certainly well-deserving of the honor. While at BC, the inside linebacker took home the Bronco Nagurski Trophy, the Butkus Award and the Lombardi Award. Here were some scenes from the festivities:

Boston College hockey coach Jerry York elected to Hockey Hall of Fame

Boston College's Jerry York, the winningest coach in college hockey history, has been inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. The 2019 Induction Celebration will be held on Monday, Nov. 18 at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

Boston College now has more names on the Stanley Cup than any other school

Former Boston College forward Zach Sanford gave Boston College its NCAA record 20th name on the Stanley Cup on Wednesday night as the St. Louis Blues defeated the Boston Bruins 4-1 in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final at TD Garden. Sanford netted his first career playoff goal in the third period to give the Blues a 4-0 lead.
